High-voltage wire harnesses play a crucial role in new energy vehicles. Their main functions and characteristics include:
Signal Distribution and Efficient Transmission: High-voltage wire harnesses are responsible for accurately distributing instructions from the power distribution box to various vehicle components, such as DC/DC converters, on-board chargers, motors, and inverters, ensuring the efficient flow of electrical energy.
Interference Shielding: Through specialized design, high-voltage wire harnesses possess excellent shielding performance, effectively isolating external electromagnetic interference (EMI) to ensure the stable operation of electronic systems.
Core Component of System Construction: High-voltage wire harnesses and connectors jointly constitute the high-voltage connection system, ensuring the normal operation of the entire system.
Meeting High-Voltage and High-Current Requirements: High-voltage wire harnesses must meet the demands of high-voltage and high-current transmission. The driving voltage of electric vehicles generally reaches 550V to 750V, and the operating voltage tolerance of high-voltage wire harnesses can reach up to 1000V.
Electromagnetic Radiation Resistance: High-voltage wire harnesses incorporate electromagnetic radiation shielding structures. By utilizing the inner and outer conductors to form a coaxial structure, they prevent electromagnetic radiation from escaping, ensuring that the electronic components of the electric vehicle remain free from interference.
High-Temperature Resistance and Flame Retardancy: The design of high-voltage wire harnesses requires the use of materials capable of withstanding higher temperatures. Generally, the ambient temperature tolerance ranges from -40°C to 85°C, while the operating temperature tolerance can reach 125°C to 150°C.
Excellent Sealing: High-voltage wire harnesses need to meet stringent sealing and waterproof performance requirements to cope with various operating environments, achieving a protection rating of IP68.
Power and Signal Transmission: High-voltage wire harnesses are responsible for transmitting high-voltage power and signals, connecting battery packs, electric motors, electronic control units, and other power components to ensure efficient and safe power transmission.
Voltage Resistance: High-voltage wire harnesses must be able to withstand the operating voltage of the power battery in new energy vehicles, which typically reaches 400V, or even higher levels of 600V or 800V, to prevent short circuits or dielectric breakdown.
